For "ADA" .... Although & Even Though

Although & Even Though are used to express an unexpected result, giving in/concession or contrast. Combine the sentences using "although" or "even though". You can add more to these sentences as well if you want to.
1. It was raining. We went to the beach.
2. We were tired. We continued working.
3. It was getting late. We decided to stay and talk a little longer.
4. She has to drive twenty minutes to get to his house. She gave him a ride home, which was very nice of her.
5. It was very cold out. We decided to go for a walk in the park.
6. She was getting impatient and wanted to leave. He stayed at the computer for a little while longer.
7. The roads were really bad, and many people decided not to drive that night. We went to the market anyway.
8. The prices are a little higher at that supermarket. We like to go shopping there anyway.
9. He's extremely afraid of traveling by airplane. We were able to convince him to go with us.
10. They said they were on a diet. They had chocolate cake for dessert.


Though ve although arasında sınav mantalitesi açısından tek fark kullanım yerleridir.

Though bu bağlamda although a ve even though a göre daha kapsamlı bir kullanıma sahiptir.Cümlenin farklı yerlerinde ( başta, ortada, sonda ) though rahatlıkla kullanılabilirken , although ve even though için aynı rahatlık söz konusu değildir. Bu ikili sadece cümle başlarına gelerek contrast anlamı katarlar.





Bu bağlaç, belirtilen bir durumdan beklenmeyen bir sonucun çıktığını belirtmeye yarar. Beklenmeyen sonucun söylendiği cümlede kullanıl-
malıdır. Üçü de aynı anlama gelmekle birlikte En güçlü ifade EVEN THOUGH , en zayıf ifade ise THOUGH ile ifade edilir. İki cümle arasında zaman farkı olabilir.

Although Maria is a clever student, she didn't receive a scholarship.
Maria zeki bir öğrenci olmasına rağmen, okul bursu almadı.

Maria didn't receive a scholarship although she is a clever student.
Maria okul bursunu zeki bir öğrenci olmasına rağmen almadı.

Though it is raining, they swam in the pool.
They swam in the pool though it rained.
Yağmasına rağmen havuzda yüzdüler

Even though the doctor doesn't let him play football, he is playing.
He is playing football even though the doctor doesn't let him.
Doktor izin vermemesine rağmen futbol oynuyor.
